Yellow wall is a vertical wall that runs parallel to the southern tip of Peleliu Island. Yellow Wall is named after the golden yellow tube corals that cover the wall along this area of the reef. The reef has a number of crevices, arches and small caverns to explore. At approximately 100 feet the reef forms a plateau before dropping off thousands of feet.
The top of the reef abounds with Sweetlips, Emperors, wrasse, groupers and eels. Green & Hawksbill turtles eat the yellow tube corals. Sightings of Blue Marlins, Sailfish, Whale sharks, pods of Sperm Whales, Pilot Whales & Orcas are rare but can happen. Strong currents create perfect conditions for many pelagic hunting near the walls.
